Warranty & Returns

Warranty & Returns

At Union Overland, we stand behind the products we sell and the brands we work with. As a Canadian-based overland gear retailer, our goal is to provide a straightforward and worry-free experience — from pre-purchase fitment support to long-term product assistance.

Below you will find detailed information regarding returns, warranty coverage, and limitations.

30-Day Returns

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery on unused, uninstalled products in original condition and packaging.

If a product is returned in new, resalable condition, a refund will be issued once the item has been received and inspected.

Please note:

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a manufacturer defect or an error on our part.

Primus Camp Kitchen Products

All Primus camp kitchen items are covered by a 30-day no-questions-asked return policy from the original purchase date. After 30 days, all Primus camp kitchen products are considered final sale and are no longer eligible for return or refund.

Warranty Coverage

Warranty periods vary by manufacturer, product category, and specific item. While general warranty timelines may be outlined below, certain products may carry different warranty terms depending on the manufacturer’s policies.

Published warranty periods should be considered general guidelines only. Official warranty coverage, limitations, and conditions are governed by the individual manufacturer’s warranty terms. In the event of any discrepancy, manufacturer warranty policies will prevail.

If you require confirmation of the exact warranty coverage for a specific product, please contact us prior to purchase or before submitting a claim, and we will provide the detailed manufacturer warranty terms applicable to that product.

Warranty claims handled by Union Overland must be for products purchased directly through Union Overland. Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable if the product is resold privately.

General Product Warranty (Non-Lighting Products)

Non-lighting products sold by Union Overland are covered by manufacturer warranties against defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.

Union Overland will assist customers by coordinating warranty claims directly with the manufacturer where applicable.

Tuff Stuff Products Warranty

Tuff Stuff products are covered by a limited 1-year manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Lighting Product Warranty

Lighting products are covered under manufacturer-specific warranty terms, which vary by brand and product category.

Lighting Warranty by Product Type:

  • Cube Lights, SAE/DOT/E-Marked Light Bars, Titanium Series Lights — 5-Year Limited Warranty

  • BrightSource ECO2 Series Light Bars & Work Lights — 3-Year Limited Warranty

  • Strands Lighting Products — 3-Year Functional Warranty

  • Rechargeable Lighting Products — 1-Year Limited Warranty

  • Safety Lights — 3-Year Limited Warranty

Condensation Information (Lighting Products)

Condensation can naturally occur in aftermarket lighting products due to temperature changes and internal moisture.

Light misting or fogging is normal and not considered a defect. Moisture typically dissipates as temperatures stabilize.

Condensation may indicate an issue if standing water or large droplets are present, which may result from:

  • Housing damage

  • Seal failure

  • Improper installation

  • Impact damage

  • Manufacturing defect

If this occurs, please provide clear photos for assessment.

What’s Not Covered

Warranty coverage does not include:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Improper installation or misuse

  • Modification or unauthorized repairs

  • Cosmetic wear not affecting function

  • Damage caused by accidents, impacts, or environmental exposure

  • Use outside intended purpose

Consequential Damages & Liability

Union Overland and its manufacturers are not responsible for incidental or consequential costs including but not limited to:

  • Installation or removal labour

  • Reinstallation costs

  • Vehicle rental expenses

  • Storage fees

  • Lost time, income, or travel interruptions

Union Overland is not responsible for damage to vehicles or property resulting from product failure, improper installation, or products becoming detached from a vehicle. This limitation applies to all products sold by Union Overland, including but not limited to Tuff Stuff products.

Installation & Fitment

Proper installation is required to maintain warranty eligibility. Professional installation is strongly recommended.

If you are unsure about compatibility or fitment, please contact us prior to purchase.

Products suspected to be defective may need to be returned freight prepaid for inspection. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer.

If approved under warranty, the sole remedy is repair or replacement at the manufacturer’s discretion.

Warranty periods are not extended when products are repaired or replaced.

Limitation of Remedy

Union Overland’s responsibility under warranty is limited solely to repair or replacement of defective components as determined by the manufacturer.

Union Overland shall not be liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages beyond the repair or replacement of the defective product.
