The Rugged Tailgate Bag

This material will last longer, especially in climates with more intense and prolonged sun exposure; made with 18 oz PVC coated Vinyl with a woven Polyester inside the material. The load-bearing webbing is HD Polyester with a 4500lb break strength, and the zippers are #10 YKK Coil for enhanced strength.

Offering more storage and colour options/ combinations than other brands with similar material, but higher price points; and features our unique multi-mount strap system that really enhances the usefulness of this product.

Mounting options include: Nothing, Tailgate Straps, and Regular Spare Tire straps. Nothing would be selected if you wanted to use something such as a carabiner to attach the bag to something.

Any bag/item against paint can cause friction as well as hold dirt and dust against the painted surface to potentially cause damage. Please check periodically and rinse the area between any bag and painted surface to reduce the potential for paint damage. All tailgate bags purchased come with a nylon fabric panel to go between the bag and the tailgate to reduce friction.

This bag is a smaller variation of the new Rugged Spare Tire Bag. It has been made 4" shorter with final dimensions coming in at 18" wide x 22" tall x 7" deep. This is in line with the sizing for the original tailgate/small spare tire bag to best fit on tires 33" and smaller as well as truck tailgates.

The tailgate straps were specifically designed to increase the functionality of a bag on the tailgate; allowing you to unclip the bottom connections to allow the bag to swing out when lowering the tailgate. It has been designed to minimize possible contact of hardware with paint. Please view the blog post and YouTube video for a demonstration of how these straps work.

Currently offered in multiple colours, including the TRD Tri-Colour now with the Red, Orange and Yellow stripes on the lid of either a Black or Tan bag (specify base colour in order comments or a follow-up email).

Please review the last image on this product ad to see optional colour panels. If you would like a combination of two (2) colours, please reply to your order confirmation email to indicate what panel you would like to be a certain colour. Overall, select the colour that represents the primary body colour. Example: Order a Black, and in the comments write: "TAN Front Upper/Lower, or RED Lid, or BLUE Sides, or RED Lid, Front Upper/Lower, and Sides".
